Jason Stranberg

Owner, President, Project Manager

Jason has been in construction estimating and project management for the past 18 years, with the past 15 years at Adroit Construction. Jason specializes in construction projects where a ‘project team’ cooperation effort between owner, and design team is the plan for success.

Since joining Adroit Construction 15 years ago, Jason has been the primary manager and estimator on our most technical and detailed projects, including the $45 million Garden Avenue project in Eugene, Oregon, Adroit’s largest project to date.

Jason brings nearly 20 years of experience, acute problem-solving skills and a unique combination of uncompromising management with a down-to-earth style.  Jason is a keen problem-solver and successfully manages multiple projects. Working with building committees and architects, Jason assists in constructability considerations, phasing, conceptual estimating, and budgeting. During  construction, Jason works closely with project superintendents to optimize the procurement  of materials and labor, and he ensures that the projects stay on schedule.

Jason has a Construction Engineering Management degree from Oregon State University.  Jason is also  a member of The American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE), and has completed the Healthcare Construction Certification Program.

Tom Walker

Owner, CEO, Project Manager

Precision! That describes Tom’s approach in one word. He knows how to adapt and maximize opportunities. He benefits from discipline and training gained while serving in the United States Air Force as a Civil Engineering Officer and Project Manager. He has worked on projects from Europe to Asia and throughout the United States. Tom is a 1995 graduate of the USAF Academy, where he earned his B. S. in Civil Engineering. Tom holds an M. S. in Civil Engineering from Oregon State University and an MBA from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Tom is also a licensed Civil Engineer and is LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) accredited for green building design/construction.  Tom has been a project manager/estimator at Adroit Construction for the past 15 years.  Tom is the most accomplished estimator in our region having estimated over $300 million in facilities in the last several years.  Tom acted as the lead estimator and project manager for the 90,000 sq. ft. Three Rivers Community Hospital Outpatient Center in Grants Pass, Oregon.  Most recently Tom was the lead estimator for the $45 million Garden Avenue Project in Eugene, Oregon.

Steve Lawrence

Owner, Project Principal

Involved in all facets of the industry, Steve’s 38 years of experience include everything from remodeling to major commercial construction. A native Oregonian and original co-owner of Adroit since its inception in 1979, Steve’s comprehensive expertise extends throughout the management of all construction operations. His attention to detailed communication between the client, architect, and subcontractors has built a legacy of successful projects. During construction, as lead project manager, Steve dedicates himself to ensuring quality workmanship, safety, and efficiency. He is also responsible for field operations and crew scheduling to maintain safe and productive jobsites.

When he’s not in a hard hat, you’ll see Steve wearing a cowboy hat. He’s an active member of the Northwest Cutting Horse Association, Oregon Cutting Horse Association, and National Cutting Horse Association. (This helps him handle his crews!) Steve may love horses, but he also stays active in the community. He currently serves on the board for the Mt. Ashland Racing Association (an advanced youth skiing group).
